Honeyguide

Zimbabwe’s scientific journal of ornithology Honeyguide had its humble origin in the Rhodesian Ornithological Society (ROS) Bulletins, which started in 1951. In May 1962 this was renamed The Honeyguide, when it was decided to transform the Bulletin into a journal continuing with No. 37.

The numbers (per issue) system continued to No. 116, thereafter changing to the volume system. The new annual volume numbering sequence commenced with Vol.30 in June 1984, with four quarterly parts per year up to and including Vol. 44, thereafter reduced to two parts per year.
