About BLZ

The mission of BirdLife Zimbabwe promotes the survival of bird life and biodiversity in Zimbabwe and elsewhere for both its intrinsic value and the enjoyment of future generations. Conservation

BirdLife Zimbabwe Conservation objectives are achieved through programmes to raise awareness of the need to protect species and the natural ecosystems inhabited by Zimbabwe’s birds and wildlife which we humans are also an integral part of through policy, advocacy education and training.

EXPLORE

Birding Zimbabwe

Birding in Zimbabwe is by far one of the most rewarding experiences any novice or serious birder can imagine. With over 670 species Zimbabwe boasts varied habitats ranging from the lower Zambezi’s Southern Carmine Bee-eater breeding sites to the Blue Swallow’s Eastern highlands montane grasslands.

It’s important to know which habitats and wildlife are present in your school grounds, but it’s equally important to know what’s missing and how to help. Time to make a plan!

NATURE QUEST #3
